What does it take to be a great dog-friendly company? While allowing dogs in the workplace is an amazing perk that makes the company great right off the bat (or off the dog bone), this list is about companies that go above and beyond.
In honor of “Take Your Dog to Work Day,” here is a list of dog-friendly superstars.
1. Amazon
Location: Seattle
Amazon has 6,000 dogs registered who accompany their humans to work. As a company devoted to dogs, they’ve created a dog paradise. Canines have their very own “doggy deck” with a fake fire hydrant, “Dogs Only” water fountains, a 1,000-sq-foot dog park, and their very own food truck, The Seattle Barkery.

But what makes this company stand out is their BISSELL Pet Foundation, aimed at finding forever homes for dogs in shelters and rescues. Bissell has committed to donating $1 million in 2018 to the foundation.
3. BrewDog
Location: Aberdeenshire, Scotland/Columbus, Ohio
BrewDog may be the first company in the world to offer Puppy Parental Leave, or as we would like to call it “pawternity” leave. Employees get one week off when they adopt a new puppy or dog. Their headquarters in Aberdeenshire welcomes 50 office K9s to their dog-friendly office.

4. Kurgo
Location: Salisbury, Massachusetts
The Kurgo office was designed with dogs in mind. 5. Petcube
Location: San Francisco
Petcube sells the interactive pet cams, Petcube Play and Petcube Bites so working pet parents can video chat with their dogs back at home and give them treats. Besides a dog-friendly office, employees can enroll in the Petcube Care Membership Program, which offers benefits such as dog walking, pet sitting, and pet insurance. Most of their events are also dog-friendly. Petcube partners with San Francisco’s SPCA to donate part of their profits to support rescues in North America and internationally.
6. Tito’s Handmade Vodka
Location: Austin, Texas
Dogs are welcome every day at the offices of Tito’s Handmade Vodka. The company started by rescuing stray dogs found around the distillery. Tito’s Vodka for Dog People works with non-profits to improve the lives of pets and their families, and they partner with Emancipet to make low-cost veterinary care available. Their Woofer of the Month blog features their recent rescue dogs.
8. Zogics/Zogics Pet

At Zogics, one of the country’s largest suppliers of health and equipment supplies and equipment, their devotion to pets has launched a separate division, Zogics Pet, an organic pet care line of organic plant-based cleaners.
