A Texas restaurant chain is looking for a “puptern” to pet dogs all day long and get paid $100 an hour for doing so. Ummm…yeah, we are in!

Named MUTTs Canine Cantina, the dog-friendly restaurant and beer garden posted its listing on Instagram last week for its new location.

“Show us your puppy petting skills! Do you have what it takes to be the first-ever MUTTS Puptern at our brand new location in Fort Worth?” the post says.

To date, the restaurant has received more than 1,500 applicants for the position – and people still have another week to apply.

The company came up with this idea as a way to engage with the students at Texas Christian University, a college close to its new location.

And for $100 an hour, the puptern is making a lot of money for a job people (including us!) would do for free.

“In this role, the puptern will greet MUTTS members with a friendly face, while offering to play and pet with their dogs,” says co-founder Kyle Noonan. “Additionally, as new guests visit MUTTS, the puptern will play with their dog(s) while they sign up for a membership and order food and drinks.”

While we wish this was a full-time gig, it is indeed just an internship, meaning the person will only be able to snuggle with dogs four hours a week during the fall and winter.

To stand out and land the job, Noonan says people should make their application as “personalized and creative as possible, explaining why they should be the first ever puptern.”

Think you got what it takes? Then head over to Instagram,  snap a picture or do a video showcasing your skills and use hashtags #MUTTSFortWorth #MUTTSpuptern.

Good luck!
