Farmers Are Ditching Herding Dogs for Drones

Drones aren’t just causing some people to lose their job: man’s best friend may also be looking for a new gig, too.

Some farmers are turning to robotic drones to herd their sheep, cows and other animals, as these devices can save time and can recharge quicker than some pooches. Others aren’t ready to give up Fido just yet, because they believe dogs have a place on the farm and trust their agility far more than some flying contraption.
