A Puppy Was Miraculously Saved From a Storm Drain — And It Was All Captured on Twitter

On Tuesday morning, a 7-week-old puppy went missing. It was soon discovered that the dog, named Toshi, had fallen six feet below ground after it stumbled into a drain pipe.

“We did what we could at first. We called 911. They sent animal control. They couldn’t do anything,” Shantessa Love, the owner of the dog, told Atlanta’s WSB-TV 2.

Firefighters made their way out to the apartment complex and they, along with public works employees and an excavator, began digging. Things took a turn for the worse, as a water main broke, putting the puppy in danger of drowning.

But after eight hours, the crew was finally able to pull the scared and wet dog out of the pipe.
