Known as the “World’s Fair” for dogs, BarkFest is having its annual dog event this weekend.

Kicking off at 2 pm on May 22 at Hudson Piers, the event is hosted by fashion designer Rachel Antonoff and promises to have something for everyone.

People can peruse the latest in dog technology at the Innovation “Pawvillion,” and see what entrepreneurs are envisioning for the future of pet parents. There will also be a “pup-up” shop where owners can pick up goodies from past BarkBoxes, along with nab items from small, local vendors.

There will obviously be a plethora of dog activities, too. The festival will a Pup Putt course, where tennis balls will be used instead of golf balls. There will also be a huge ball pit and an agility course. For the calmer activities, dogs can meet celeb pups Marnie the Dog, Tuna Melts My Heart and Crusoe the Celebrity Dachshund; have their mug transformed into a caricature and check out the Sniff Around the World exhibit.

Foster Dogs NYC, an organization helping out shelters’ foster programs, will have a number of dogs looking for their forever homes.

The main stage will feature a DJ, a catwalk for dogs to strut their stuff down and two musical performances from Tanlines and Great Caesar.

For those working up an appetite, BarkFest will have a variety of food trucks along with a beer garden for those of age. There will also be plenty of snacks for dogs.

It is recommended to wear sunscreen, comfortable shoes and attire, along with shades. Dogs must be six months old, spayed or neutered, be comfortable in crowds and only two dogs per human.

Tickets are $40. Head over to the BarkFest website to grab yours.
