For many brands looking to get viewers’ attention for their Super Bowl ads, they turn to the tried and true: puppies, babies or monkeys. But one company has literally combined all three in a very unique commercial to be aired during the big game.
In a Mountain Dew ad for its beverage product Kickstart, a “puppymonkeybaby” wrecks havoc on a couple of friends relaxing and watching TV. In an even more bizarre twist, it looks like the species is doing some sort of strip tease.

While an odd choice, the logic behind the decision makes sense. Kickstart is a blend of Mountain Dew, real fruit juices and a splash of caffeine – an unlikely, but a supposedly winning combination. Similar to the puppymonkeybaby combination.
This is the first Super Bowl commercial from PepsiCo since 2000.
