“I was a bankruptcy attorney traveling the world and had been to 70 countries. But in 2001 everything stopped due to medical mistakes and mishaps. I have severed damage to my legs and feet and was put on disability.

I got Ella because people wanted me to get out and get moving. They said ‘if you are not going to move for yourself, you’ll move for someone else.’

I used be come out here and read books and nobody would talk to me. Now she is going up to woman that are alone and they look forward to seeing her. She is supposed to be a comfort for me but she comforts others who are alone.”
