Your Dog Could Be Famous!

Share
Two Chihuahuas in tuxedos sit on a dog wedding.

For those looking to make their dog famous literally overnight, we have a fun contest for you.

This fall The Dog Wedding will be hitting the big screens, and they are looking for a little help from our four-legged friends. The flick is a romantic comedy about an unlikely pair — A German businesswoman and an American wrestler — who fall in love after their English bulldogs meet at the dog park.

And what could make a dog movie even better? How about a whole bunch more pooches? This is where you come into play. The people behind the movie have a launched a photo contest asking dog owners to submit a wedding picture of their pet. Was your pup a best man, bridesmaid or ringbearer? Have a shot of them sporting a tux or a dress for the big day? If so, they want to see it. Simply head over to their page and submit your best wedding pic. Fifty winners will be featured in the opening credit of the film.

And besides becoming a possible instant hit, the top 150 entrants will take home prizes totaling $10,000 from partners like BarkBox, Stella & Chewy’s and DogTV. Some of the goodies include doggie care packages, toys and vacations from Petcube, Dog Diggin Designs and Muttropolis. The producers of the film will chose the winning photos in August.

The movie is also donating a monetary sum of $1,000 to help out Canine Companions for Independence and Chicago English Bulldog Rescue.

But you better hurry, the contest ends July 31.
