While LAX may be feeling the heat for recently being named one of the worst airports for on-time flights, the Los Angeles airport is scoring points with our four-legged travel companions.
This past Friday, the airport announced the opening of seven additional dog bathrooms, all indoors. To celebrate this milestone LAX has a special ribbon-cutting ceremony, along with a “yappy hour,” free dog massages and grooming.
With these extra relief areas, LAX now has a total of 11 dog bathrooms – eight inside and three outside – making it the airport with the most dog bathrooms in a U.S. airport.

The move comes after more people are traveling with their pets and with LAX ranked as the seventh busiest in the world and third in the U.S., according to Airport International Council, it seemed like a good move on their part.
Besides our four-legged travel companions being able to use the stations, the facilities will also be used for K-9 teams and the 55 volunteer therapy dogs who visit the terminals to help alleviate stress that passengers may incur while traveling.
