Offered in a range of price points and complete with super cute names, like “Merlot and Play Dead,”, “Unleashed Chardonnay,” and “Portrait of a Mutt Zinfandel, “the Windsor, Calif. based winery currently offers four series that range from $14.99 to $50.00 per bottle. Each of their wines offer the unique flavor and top-notch quality that long-time fans have come to expect from Mutt Lynch wines.

And for those who are looking to get even more out of Mutt Lynch, there’s Club Mutt: a wine club that is aimed at meeting the needs of diverse fans everywhere by shipping cases of wine throughout the year to customers. The best part? No matter what club level you choose, everybody gets invited to special winery events at Mutt Lynch’s vineyard and parties where four-legged friends are always welcome.

The genius idea of combining dogs with wine came from industry veterans Brenda and Chris Lynch. After a chance meeting 25 years ago, the two fell and love and with their mutual passion for “wine and all things dog,” decided to launch Mutt Lynch Winery. It’s been an adventure ever since.

But not everything is always wine and roses. In fact, the pair have come to expect a somewhat unique challenge in the tasting room and at the various events they host. For instance, their award-winning labels designed by Rae Huestis Designs get quite the reaction.

“We sometimes have to give people a moment to take it all in and react to our labels before we can get them refocused on the great wine that’s in the bottle, says Brenda. “It’s the two-stage ‘ooh, ahh’ reaction we’ve come to expect. But trust me, we’re not complaining!”

Mutt Lynch regularly hosts “Yappy Hours” that benefit local rescue organizations. By far the dog-friendliest wine country destination, Brenda explains, “We want the visitor experience to be casual and inviting for both man and dog. For our two-legged visitors, we have several tasting flights to choose from as well as a delicious wine and chocolate pairing,” she says. “Bring along your pup and they’ll have the doggie red carpet rolled out for them.” What more could you (and your best friend!) want?

“We’re always considering ways in which we might expand the brand beyond wine,” says Brenda. “We’re looking at numerous categories that make the most sense for us, perhaps something in distilled spirits, or maybe even something as far-flung as clothing.  The one thing I can tell is you is that for Mutt Lynch, the journey is as fun as the destination.”
