For its upcoming gala, Wags and Walks motto is “go big or go home.”

The Los Angeles-based rescue organization will be holding its annual “Muttin But Love” fundraiser on April 15 at the SLS Hotel — and it looks to be quite the event.

High-profile guests who will walk the red carpet include L.A. Kings’ Jeff Carter, Lauren Conrad (The Hills), Erin Andrews (Dancing with the Stars), Ian Ziering (Sharknado) Peter Facinelli (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn) and many more. Oh, and a lot of adorable dogs will be strutting their stuff, too.

The festivities begin at 6 pm with a one-hour cocktail hour, followed by a delicious dinner featuring both vegan and vegetarian options. During this time, Wags and Walks will honor three animal-loving people: LA Kings’ Jeff Carter and Megan Carter, along with life coach Betsy Rosenfeld Vargas.

“Our honorees are amazing, compassionate, giving people, who have all been instrumental in helping Wags and Walks’ cause and its enormous success and growth,” founder Lesley Brog told This Dog’s Life.

After the sit-down meal, the fun begins! Starting at 8 pm, the gala reception will get under way.

During this time, guests can try their hand at a few casino games, including craps, poker and blackjack. Dog-themed casino “funny money” will be used and winners will receive raffle tickets, which can be used to snag some pretty cool prizes.

Also, during this time guests can bid on packages and services during the silent online auction. Some of the goodies include a four-day package to Bora Bora, attending a taping of Modern Family, floor seats to a Billy Joel concert and MVP tickets to a LA Dodgers game. (If you want to get a head start, you can bid on items right now.)

For those looking for some nibbles, the gala will have an appetizer pasta station and Mediterranean table. There will also be desserts, such as cookie-dough truffles, French macaroons and mini cupcakes. And yes, there will also be a bar with plenty of adult beverages.

Wags and Walks wants people with all budgets to attend, so they have provided three different packages for guests:

  • General admission to the gala:Includes one general admission to gala reception, small bites, desserts, welcome drink, goody bag.  Ticket price is $95.
  • VIP gala access: Includes one VIP admission to gala reception, access to VIP lounge with open bar all night, $40 casino cash, small bites, desserts, welcome drink and goody bag.  Ticket price is $175.
  • Dinner Seat:Includes entry to the cocktail hour, one seat at the VIP dinner and VIP access to gala reception. Ticket price is $450.

*These ticket prices are until April 11. After that date, the prices will increase.

This is the fifth gala for Wags and Walks, and the team continues to look ahead. In 2015, they saved and placed 650 dogs, this year they are on track to save 1,000. The funds from the benefit will be used to reach this goal.

“The average cost to save a dog is $500 and all funds raised are used for all aspects of dog rescue, including (but not limited to) pulling dogs from shelters and transporting them, any medical issues, vaccinations, spay and neutering, food and supplies,” says Brog, adding they also hope to this year open their own adoption center.

The event goes from 6 to 11 pm, with the cocktail hour occurring between 6-7 pm, dinner from 7-8:30 and the gala reception going from 8-11 pm. The address is 465 S La Cienega Blvd in Los Angeles.
