Tinkerbelle, the supermodel of the dog world, is hitting the middle-age mark and wants you to come celebrate her turning four.
The “papitese” (papillon/maltese mix) is having a birthday soiree at Inglot Cosmetics in Chelsea market in Manhattan on Thursday. The event is just for us humans to kick back and enjoy a good time.
The gracious host that she is, Tinkerbelle will be spoiling us with a salon station, a photo booth, Skinny Girl drinks and Classy Girl Cupcakes. Andi Dorfman from Bachelorette fame will be helping Tinkerbelle host the event and Sarah Hunt from Dance Moms will be acting as MC.
Also singer and actress Gina Naomi Baez (she is in the upcoming season of Orange Is the New Black) will be releasing her EP and will be handing one out to each guest. There will be editors, bloggers, TV personalities and designers in attendance to wish Tinkerbelle a happy birthday. It is an understatement to say that the dog has made an impression on the fashion world.
Tinkerbelle has quite the rags-to-riches story. Tinkerbelle’s owner Sam Carrell saw her in a shelter on Long Island, N.Y. when she was just 7 months old. Weighing less than a pound, the pup would not eat or socialize with any of the volunteers. But when Carrell walked into the shelter and came face-to-face with Tinkerbelle, she responded to her. “I knew we belonged together,” Carrell says.

Soon after Tinkerbelle entered Carrell’s life, the two were walking down the street when an agent “discovered” her (just like all those other model stories). Fast-forward to today and Tinkerbelle has appeared in Ralph Lauren ads, on Broadway, in music videos and so much more. And she isn’t slowing down anytime soon. She has more photo shoots, events and other collaborations on the horizon.
