This Dog Thinks Puppy Pool Parties Are Lame

A group of dogs having a blast at a puppy pool party.

What pup wouldn’t love a pool party? Staying cool while dog paddling, chasing four-legged friends and just splashing around seems like doggy heaven.

But apparently not every dog is into that sort of thing.

In a video that has gone viral, a dog at Virginia’s Happy Tails Resort puppy pool

party would rather be anywhere but in the water. While other dogs are romping in the pool, a Chesapeake Bay retriever named Beya is oblivious to the fun going on around her, preferring to stare aimlessly into space while treading water.

Viewed more than 11 million times, staff at Happy Tails Resort say Beya does actually enjoy swimming but she is a bit of a nut. And apparently, the treading in water thing had a purpose: to catch a ball.

Beya’s no-fun swimming approach has caught on. In a second video called “Non Swimming Dog Internship “another dog joins her.
