A dog believed to be 30 years old has just passed away.

Named Maggie, a Kelpie, took her last breath Monday on her Australia farm in the state of Victoria.

The sheep dog had been a constant companion to dairy farmer, Brian McLaren.

“She was 30 years old, she was still going along nicely last week, she was walking from the dairy to the office and growling at the cats and all that sort of thing,” McLaren told The Weekly News.“She just went downhill in two days and I said yesterday morning when I went home for lunch … ‘She hasn’t got long now.'”

While he is sad to lose his friend, McLaren told the outlet he is happy how she went.

The dog was buried next to McLaren’s other dog under a pine tree on his property.

In dog years, Maggie lived more than twice as long as the average life span of a Kelpie – between 12 and 15 years – and was approximately 210 dog years. McLaren lost her paperwork with her birthdate on it, but says he got Maggie when his son was four. He is now 34.

Bluey, a cattle dog also from Australia, currently holds the Guinness World Record for oldest dog. He lived from 1910 to 1939, making him 29 years old when he passed away.

RIP in Maggie.
