Great Danes are known to be gentle giants but one Dane is looking to be the biggest of all the giants.
Bentley stands 38 inches tall, weighs 228 pounds and eats about 100 pounds of food a month. His owner, Bob Magliocchi, believes he is the largest dog in the world and is trying to get this in the record books.

He is currently in the process of applying to have Bentley examined by the folks at the Guinness Book of World Records.
Despite his size, Magliocchi told WNEP Bentley still considers himself a lap dog.
The owners will find out at the end of this year if Bentley will make the book for 2016.
