Tomorrow, June 18, BARC shelter is having a sunset soiree on the rooftop at Oosten to raise money for its organization.

Beginning at 6 pm and going until 10 pm, guests will enjoy the beautiful Manhattan skyline on the rooftop of the much-talked about Oosten hotel in South Williamsburg.

People can enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, while mingling with other animal lovers.

Special guest Bernadette Peters will be in attendance. The actress, singer and author has been a huge supporter of New York City shelters and rescue groups, with a soft spot for the Williamsburg BARC shelter.

Peters’ relationship with the shelter goes back 17 years when she was just beginning Broadway Barks, an annual adoption event involving Broadway stars and shelters in the New York City area. BARC was one of only six shelters involved in the event and Peters, along with her assistant, would load up the dogs herself from Animal Control and bring to BARC to help find forever homes.

Ticket prices are $100 and all proceed will go towards BARC. The organization plans on using the funds to continue providing a safe haven for abandoned animals and ensuring they find a loving forever home.
