Shoes and handbags just got a little bit more … adorable.
For its latest accessories catalog, Neiman Marcus teamed up with famed photographer Elias Weiss Friedman of The Dogist to photograph dog models alongside its high-end items.

Pups modeled alongside luxury designers accessories, including Stuart Weitzman, Chloe and Manolo Blahnik.
“I’ve always heard dogs and babies will always grab somebodies attention,” Devin Hall, Neiman Marcus’ art director told This Dog’s Life. “For this project it seemed perfect to pair our amazing assortment of shoes and bags with pups. I figured our customers would relate and have the same emotional connection as I do when I look his images.”
While Friedman has been photographing dogs on the streets for years (and amassing 2.7 million fans on Instagram as a result), this project was a bit different. Rather than just shoot dogs in their everyday environment, Friedman had to focus on other aspect, too, including the products, human models, setting and mood.

“New Yorkers often wear chic outfits that I like to include a glimpse of in the background of my images with the dog at center stage, but this shoot required the dogs share the stage with each unique piece in the collection,” Friedman tells This Dog’s Life. “That meant new compositions and longer depths of field.”
He added that what was “even more challenging was getting both subjects looking perfect at the same time!” he says. “A dog’s attention can be very fickle, especially with puppies, so getting the perfect angle on the shoes or bag while also getting the puppy to look right down the lens required some serious patience.”
