There is nothing more personal than naming your dog. Some prefer a more traditional name, like Buddy, while others prefer trendy names like Elsa or Stella. How does your naming choice stack up?

Rover, the pet-sitting platform, has put out its annual list of the most popular dog names. While the top dog names didn’t change much from last year, the list did have surprises, with some dog parents turning to cultural trends when naming their furry.

For girl dogs, Bella remained in the top position, while Luna pushed past Lucy to take the second spot. Lily and Zoe entered the top 10, whereas Stella and Maggie got the boot.

Top 10 Female Dog Names

For boy names, the top three names remained the same. But Milo and Teddy entered the top 10 mix, replacing Tucker and Oliver.

When it came to up-and-comers, a lot of the trendy names were based on movies, musicians and food.

Arya, the character from Game of Thrones, made it into the top 100. Lizzo is up 100 percent. And dog parents are digging superheroes, with Okoye up 250 percent, Nebula up 163 percent and Black Widow up 100 percent.

When it comes to the foodies in our life, people love the names Pepper, Ginger, Kona, Oreo and Peanut.
