After a homeless man had an epileptic seizure in Brazil, his dog was filmed racing after the ambulance that was carrying him.
In the video you can see the dog dart from one side of the vehicle to the next so not to lose sight of the vehicle. At one point, one of the workers shouts at the dog, “Go home. Go and have a rest, give up” but the dog refuses. The crew realizes the pooch may not make it all the way to the hospital, so they finally stop and let the pup hop into the ambulance.
Paramedic Celiomar Ferreira do Couto, who filmed the whole endeavor, told the Daily Mail that everyone involved was extremely touched by this act of loyalty.

“I’ve been doing this job for 19 years and I’ve never seen anything like it,” said Couto. “Sometimes we arrive at the scene of an emergency and there are pets around, but they are too shy for us to get close to and they often run way. I have never seen this reaction in all my career.”
Once on board, the dog was the perfect co-pilot. “We couldn’t believe how well-behaved the dog was,” Couto told the Daily Mail. “It just sat quietly and patiently beside its owner. It didn’t even bark.”
Upon arriving at the hospital, the dog again sat beside his owner. Unfortunately, Couto doesn’t know the outcome nor would the hospital comment on the status of the man. We will keep you posted. In the meantime, enjoy the video.
