Johnny Depp’s Dogs Could Be Put Down in Australia If the Actor Doesn’t Act Fast

Johnny Depp has until Saturday to have his pet Yorkies, Pistol and Boo, out of Australia. Otherwise, they will be put down.

This warning comes after the actor violated Australia’s strict biosecurity policy by sneaking his dogs in by way of his private jet, allowing Depp to circumvent the standard channels needed to bring in pets to the country.

In a press conference, Australia’s Minister of Agriculture Barnaby Joyce said he brought the dogs into “our nation, despite not getting the proper certification and the proper permits required. Basically it looked like he snuck them in.”

Depp, along with his wife Amber Heard, is in the country filming the latest “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie.

The country discovered the ruse after a local groomer had taken care of the pair’s dogs and posted an image of the actor on its Facebook page with the note, “It’s an honor to be grooming Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s two Yorkshire Terriers.”

The tough penalty (and guessing subsequent outrage) comes after the mister said the country needs to crack down on these illegal entries of pets.

“If we start letting movie stars, even if they’ve been ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ twice, to come into our nation then why don’t we just break the laws for everybody,” says Joyce. “It’s time that Pistol and Boo buggered off back to the United States. After that I don’t expect to be invited to the opening of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean.'”
