Get ready to rack ’em, stack ’em and chip ’em up.

On March 19, K9 Connection, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit helping teens overcome life barriers by working with homeless dogs, is hosting its third annual poker tournament and game night at Furlined Studios in Santa Monica.

The night will be filled with games, prizes, food and entertainment – all to support an amazing cause.

The fundraiser kicks off at 6 pm with a dinner buffet, cocktails and a lounge. Chef Katy Watson has created a custom menu for the event, that will not only make your mouth water but will also get you fueled up for the big night of games. She will be preparing balsamic crostini with herb macerated strawberries and ricotta; roasted baba ghanoush dip with toasted pita bread; BBQ pork buns with pickled vegetable slaw and hoisin sauce; chicken wings in a peach and sesame glaze and avocado and cucumber vegetarian sushi. She will be whipping up some delicious desserts, too.

Guests can enjoy a number of tasty beverages including beer from Golden Road Brewing, wine from Heartwood & Oak and kombucha tea from Kombucha Dog.

Once everyone is fueled up, let the games begin!

Comedian, actress and singer Jane Lynch will be kicking off the tournament at 7:30 pm. Lynch, an honorary patron of K9 Connection, fell in love with the program after being introduced to it by staff.

“The folks at K9 sent me their promotional film about the great work of this organization, with both at risk teens and shelter dogs; they had me at the halfway mark in the film and I was crying at the end,” she said in a statement. “This brings together two things I truly love, young people and dogs. I am so excited to become involved.”

Poker players will be playing Texas Hold’em. (Don’t worry if you have no clue how to play the game, there will be a tutorial before the tournament.)

Depending on what tier of ticket you purchase will determine how many chips you are given at the start of the event.

Guests will be playing for some amazing prizes including L.A. Kings and Clippers tickets, gift baskets, tour and taping of the show Tastemade and more.

While people can score some amazing goods, the real point of the event is to help K9 Connection continue to do amazing work.

The All in for K9 benefit will be from 6 pm to 11 pm on March 19 at the Furlined Studios located at 1660 Stanford Street, Santa Monica, Calif. There will be complimentary valet and the space is dog friendly.
