A hotel chain is looking to appeal to dog owners  traveling with their pup by offering pet-friendly accommodations.

Canopy by Hilton, positioned as a boutique hotel, has announced its “Paws in the Neighborhood” initiative that makes a dog’s stay at one of its hotels across North America pleasurable.

Upon check-in pups are given a Paws in the Neighborhood Cinch Pack, with a lot of goodies they will love. In it, pups will find a Planet Dog Orbee ball, house-made or locally-sourced dog treats and poop bags. There will also be a neighborhood guide which will provide information on dog-friendly restaurants and dog parks, along with nearby supply stores, vets and groomers.

Dogs also get hooked up with a dog bed, food and water bowls in the hotel room they share with their humans.

“We’ve found that in recent years, more people are choosing to travel with their dogs than ever before and why not?” Gary Steffen, global head of Canopy by Hilton, told Travel and Leisure“Dogs are part of the family and travelers consider their needs as much as their own when choosing a place to stay.”

Guests are able to have two dogs per stay and pay a non-refundable cleaning fee. If a dog is over 75 pounds, the hotel will determine if allowed.
