Single and ready to mingle? Well, then this is the event for you.

Animal rescue organization Forte Animal Rescue is holding its first-ever singles mixer to benefit the dogs (and cats) at its nonprofit.

Held on Aug. 10 at Los Angeles’s Gravlax rustic restaurant, the event kicks off at 6pm and goes until 10.

The concept is simple: You bring a single friend of the opposite sex in order to keep the ratios even. During the four-hour window, people will get the chance to get to know others, who also have a passion for animals (an easy icebreaker). There will also be food available for purchase and drinks, including a $5 special passion fruit akvavit cocktail. Forte Animal Rescue also plans on having games at the event with grand prizes.

Ticket prices are $20 beforehand and $25 at the door. The first 10 pairs who sign up receive a swag bag, including coupons and special offers from local businesses like Beauty Connection and Rubio’s. The money from the event will go towards medical and boarding expenses the organization incurs.

Head over to the event page to grab your tickets and more information. The address is 12400 W. Washington Blvd., Los Angeles.
