In one town, residents are so over all the political hoopla they decided to elect a dog for their mayor.
Named Duke, the Great Pyrenees just become top dog of Cormorant, Minnesota, winning the election by a landslide.
This will be the third time the 9-year-old dog has been elected mayor of the city for its one-year term.

“Three years ago, it happened by accident, it was a write in vote. You pay a dollar and you can vote,” Duke’s owner, David Rick, told WDAY.
The race wasn’t close, with the fluffy dog having by far the most votes. “I don’t know who would run against him, because he’s done such great things for the community,” resident Karen Nelson told the outlet.
Every single person voted for the pup in the small town of 1,039, according to the outlet. Well everyone, except one – that vote went to his girlfriend Lassie.
Duke took the top spot in 2014 when he beat Richard Sherbrook, the owner of a local store.
The pup will spend his first day in office working hard – on the farm that is.
