A major highway closed down after dogs escaped during a car chase.
Last night in Los Angeles, the chase began after a woman failed to stop for a California Highway Patrol officer on the 91 Freeway in Orange County.
She then went on to the 710 Freeway and drove on the shoulder at 30 mph (this was obviously not a high-speed chase). Officers attempted a PIT maneuver, a technique that forces fleeing cars to turn sideways and stop, but failed.

At around 9:40 pm officers tried a second PIT stop, which was successful. The department shut down all lanes of the 710 highway, while the woman refused to get out of her car. She eventually did, with a cigarette in hand, and this is when a bit of dog chaos broke out.
The woman left her car door open and three dogs jumped out of the car (there was six total in the vehicle). And they were not going to let officers catch them.
In the video below you can see how the dogs continually dodge, run and hide on the police. Eventually, all dogs were caught and are under the care of animal services in Los Angeles.
