The dog known for giving hugs is looking for a few hugs of her own.

Nicknamed “the hugging dog” for her affectionate embraces, golden retriever Louboutina and her owner were walking on Christmas day when a fire swept through their building.

“I was going for a walk with my dog. And then when we got to the corner that’s when we saw the fire coming out of the building,” Louboutina’s owner, Cesar Fernandez, told The Daily News.

Firefighters arrived shortly after the fire started.  “As you can imagine with the weather today, wind, I think did play a factor with the spread of this fire,” FDNY Division 1 Deputy Chief Thomas Currao, told the outlet.

Fortunately, there were only two minor injuries.

“I’m just happy that Loubie and I were safe,” he said.

“We had a very strong presence on social media, and our message has been very clear about sharing love. Now the community has been great,” he told the outlet.
