The event will begin with dinner — choice of vegetarian or fish option — catered by Glorious Food, a company that touts its ability to provide the “most imaginative, flawlessly executed events.” Afterwards, the party will continue as guests dance the night away to music from the Peter Duchin Orchestra and partake in several auctions: live, online and silent. Some of the experiences and packages include golf lessons at the swanky Maidstone Golf Club, two nights of deluxe accomdations at the Ritz Carlton in St. Thomas and a New York Knicks package including two tickets to the game, gift bags and a meet and greet.
ARF will honor Peter Marino, an architect and designer who is known for creating store environments for brands including Chanel, Dior and Louis Vuitton. Marino has been a long-time supporter of the organization, including having donated several dog runs to ARF.
All proceeds from the night’s event will go to the nonprofit. Most of ARF’s animals come from animal control, puppy mills and surrenders. Last year, the organization rescued 1,286 dogs and cats and this year, its rescue rate is currently running 13 percent higher than last year.
