Just like every fairytale has a happy ending, one organization wants the same for animals.
On May 23, New York City-based nonprofit Bideawee will holding its “Happily Ever After” ball at The Pierre Hotel in Manhattan.
The event is hosted by New York Times bestselling author, writer and analyst Jeffrey Toobin and will bring together 400 animal lovers, including Project Runway winner Irina Shabayeva.
Guests will enjoy cocktails, dinner, auctions and aware ceremony, all while helping to make a difference in an animal’s life.

Upon arrival, people will be able to mingle witn like-minded individuals while enjoying a glass of wine. They will have the opportunity to bid on a number of amazing items in the silent auction, including a week-long stay at a Paris apartment, Hamilton tickets and tickets to The Masters.
Shortly after, guests will get to enjoy a delicious sit-down dinner. Some of the options included a pan-seared branzino with parsnip puree, sweet allumette potato garnish and pickled tricolor cauliflower; and hollowed out zucchini filled with vegetable ratatouille on a bed of lentils. For dessert, there is the option of warm chocolate soufflé, fresh berry composte or crème anglaise.
During dinner, the award ceremony will occur, along with the live auction.
Proceeds from the ticket sales and auction item bids will go to Bideawee. Founded in 1903 by Flora D’Auby Jenkins Kibbe. During a visit to Paris, Kibbe witnessed the work of the Barrone d’Herpents Dog Refuge. The organization would help stray and unwanted dogs find homes, instead of euthanizing them.
Inspired, she started Bide-A-Wee in New York City in 1903 and three years later officially incorporated it as a nonprofit.

The organization has saved thousands of animals and will continue to do so in the coming years. Bideawee has a brand new mobile adoption vehicle, which will increase adoptions throughout Manhattan and Long Island.
