Usually found on the corner of 5th avenue and 17th street with her owner, Cesar, a Spanish translator, the dog, sporting a bright red harness, will give a hug to anyone who wants one. And for those who are a bit scared, Loubie, will “stage,” meaning she will set herself up for a hug, so it isn’t so intimidating.

Cesar first realized Loubie was quite the affectionate dog, when at 3 years old, she started holding his hands. This sweet gesture eventually turned into full-blown hugs.
