June is Pride Month and an opportunity for LGBTQ folks, their allies, and their dogs to come together in celebration and support of a community that has fought long and hard for justice and equality.
The very first LBGTQ+ Pride Month was hosted in 1970 to commemorate the first anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, an uprising that occurred during the summer of 1969 after a violent police raid at New York City’s Stonewall Inn, a gay and lesbian bar.
