And while some traditional office spaces are jumping on the dog-friendly bandwagon (7 percent, compared to 4 percent in 2014), so are non-traditional office spaces, like co-working environments (also known as shared workspaces for small companies and freelancers.). And they should.
Indeed, as the U.S. is moving more towards a freelancing economy (it is projected that by 2027 the majority of the U.S. workforce will be freelancers), co-working spots are popping up everywhere — and these locations need to compete with other co-working spots. So, besides offering amenities like contemporary looking offices, state-of-the-art technology, happy hours and unlimited coffee, many are also making their locations dog-friendly.
