Girl Asks Santa for Only One Gift: The Return of Her Blind Dog

Share

While some kids will be asking Santa for the latest Barbie, LEGO kit or Star Wars toy, 7-year-old Isla Kerr had only one thing on her list: The return of her blind Boston terrier Dolly.

The British girl was devastated when her dog went missing and decided to pen a letter to Father Christmas begging for the return of her four-legged friend.

Dear Santa,

All I want for Christmas is my dog to come back.

I do not care about presents. All I care about is my dog Dolly to come home. I miss her so much and love her.

Love Isla Kerr xxxx.

Besides the heartfelt letter, her family also posted posters around town. Five days later, Kerr’s wish came true. The dog, discovered abandoned in a park, was reunited with her family.

“Dolly can’t see us but she knows who we are, she knows she’s home and it’s so lovely. She is part of our family, Isla’s mom Vanessa Meskimmon told the Mirror Online. “We can’t stop cuddling her, we’re so pleased to have her back.”

Because Isla’s Christmas present came a bit early, she decided to revise her list for Santa, asking for a Barbie doll, roller skates and a doll.
